GLASGOW  PIPING LIVE 2013

THERE IS NO DOUBT, THE XEREMIA MUSIC LIKES TO THE GLASGOW PEOPLE...

This is the conclusion we arrived the Xeremiers de Sóller after a week of music at the Scottish land. We have arrived to this conclusion because of a few facts, lets see;

They invited us three times in the last five years.

A Xeremiers de Sóller image was used the day of the presentation of the PIPING LIVE 2013, this ceremony was broadcasted by the National Piping Center tv and by internet via streaming.

Also is a remarkable fact that they invited us at the X anniversary of the Festival
They contract us just for two concerts, but finally were five times played our music in Glasgow.

We played at THE NATIONAL PIPING CENTER, at the Saint Enoch square, situated at the end of the most relevant Glasgow street, where all the scotish bagpipes bands that participate at the glasgow world pipe band championships 2013 marche on a parade.

Also had the opportunity to play two songs along with the dance of a Bolero Mallorquín at the Official Reception in the main hall of the Glasgow Town Hall, were we were invited by the political principals and also by the authorities of the festival Piping Live 2013.
This time as a novelty the Xeremiers de Sóller decided to include in our repertoir an introduction with an explanation of every gig we played and also included two different dances as a sample of the Mallorca dances.

We decided to play our music apart of the festival in other cities and places us at the Royal Mille in Edimburgh were every August there are plenty of cultural activities, all organized by the well know FRINGE festival, so we played our tunes at this scenary, a great succes for us.

Wednesday we were invited to a private party where we meet our Glasgow´s friends. We played our song, dance and alsoenjoy the old scottish songs that our friends sang, was a real privilege for us.

the week was completed with two beautiful tourisctic visits, one to Linlithgow an the other one to Falkirk, two cities real authentic scottish style, castle surrounded by grass prairie, green and fresh with the constant presence of water, water everywhere in form of lake, canal or locks.

Even the weather was exceptionally good.
