XEREMIERS DE SÓLLER HAS PARTICIPATED AT THE MEZINÁRODNÍ DUDÁCKÝ INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL IN STRAKONICE (Czech Republic)

MDF STRAKONICE FESTIVAL

If I have to summarize in one word the experience of our participation in the twentieth Strakonice Festival (Czech Republic), I think the most appropriate is MEMORABLE:

______Memorable was the parade and the opening ceremony with the presence of Czech Republic Minister of Culture.A parade of one hour in the presence of all the foreign groups involved. 

______Memorable was performing on the same stage where the best bands of bagpipes play bagpipe, cornamuses and all kinds of similar instruments. 

______Memorable was the public cheers and applause after the greeting presentation we did in Czech lenguage

______Memorable is remember our performances in the courtyard of the castle. An observe the audience excited by our tunes.

______Memorable was the audience response at the two parades, near one hour long each. In addition to greeting us, accompanied with applauses our tunes. 

______Memorable evenings we did at the Strakonice Castle Tavern, playing and singing and dancing songs with our collegues from la Bretagne (France) and Holland.  

Has been memorable for Xeremiers Soller to be invited and participate in the most important bagpipes festival in the Czech Republic. The festival has 40 years old. takes place every two years and brings together close to a thousand of musicians, singers and dancers from all over Europe. 

There was representation from countries as diverse as Greece, Turkey, England, Scotland, Britain, Spain (Galicia), France, Austria, Slovaks, Slovenia, and many others. 

All this has been a memorable experience, we are even more excited to follow the path of good work in defense of our Mallorca popular culture.
